How to make a stool in a few simple steps

written by Worx
There are many kinds of stools that you can build, from those that act as a small step to reach the high points of the cabinet in the kitchen, to those you find in bars. All they have in common with each other are the seat and the legs.

Here's how to make a three-legged stool:

1- Cut out the chair seat. Draw a circle on a piece of plywood 5 cm thick and cut it with a jigsaw. We recommend a diameter of 30 cm.

2- Cut the legs. Trim three 5 cm diameter dowels rods to the height you want for your stool. Usually it is recommended not to exceed 50 cm for this type of project.

3- Make the holes for the legs. Using a compass, draw a circle on the underside of your seat: this must be centered and with diameter of 22.5 cm. Divide the perimeter of the circle into thirds and then drill 4.5 cm holes in each angle. The easiest way to do this is to place a 2.5 cm block underneath half of the seat so that it sits at an angle and then drill straight down.

4- Glue and insert the legs into the holes.

And now remember to decorate your new stool!
